Counter-Example
Find an example or evidence that runs counter (against) their belief or argument.
Ask:
- What is the inverted belief? If B is not equal to A, then A cannot be equal to B.
- How can I make it a universal statement or question?
- Was there ever a time when A did not cause B?
Statement: Finding a new job is very hard.
Isn’t it possible to find a job and feel it’s easy to do it?
Statement: His laziness at work makes me very angry.
