Find another person’s viewpoint that differs with theirs.
Ask:
- Is this true or false in everyone’s model of the world?
- Switch Referential Index (You -> Me -> He/She -> Them)
Statement: Finding a new job is very hard.
Compared to working in an environment like a construction site for 10 hours or more per day, finding a new job does not seem that hard.
Statement: His laziness at work makes me very angry.
Maybe he concentrates more on the overall plan than dealing with small details, which may give the impression that he is lazy.
